Cat n Dog Theology.com uses a high-impact, multi-media experience that examines the heart of Christians in the 21st century and the typical modern message about Christianity being presented in today's churches. Through humor and scripture the presentation pricks our spirit and tickles our funny-bones resulting in an overwhelming sense of "joyful conviction". It will help the people of your church switch from "Me-ology" to "Theology" in a short period of time.
The messages use an illustration of "cats and dogs" and how each relates to its master. Then it challenges Christians to see the parallels with how too many Christians, like a cat, tend to use their Master (God) only to get what they want. The illustration helps us see the difference between "us living for God" and "God living for us". The average Christian while saying he lives his life for God is really living his life to get from birth to death in the safest, softest, easiest and most comfortable fashion possible -- and they use God to get what they want. For far too long, this has become the message of the modern church.
The seminar highlights and focuses on the Glory of God as the primary motivation and purpose of our lives and challenges the church to recognize that MISSIONS is one of the best ways to radiate God's greatest glory! It takes missions off the back-burner and moves it to the front. Your church will never do missions the same way again! It replaces guilt with God's glory as being the prime motivator for both, missions and evangelism.
The typical seminar has 5 one-hour presentations. Each presentation has a theme and style that maintains the the attention of those as young as 7 and as old as 97. The Cat 'n Dog Theology presentation can be done in 2, 3, 4 or 5 hour seminars. The more you have, the greater the impact! (I recommend at least 4 hours.)

Adult Seminars
Please use caution! This seminar will change the way the children see the world. If you don't want to see their lives change, then don't use this seminar. If you want to equip your children to make an impact on the world, host this seminar for them. It has eternal impact.
Often held concurrently with the Adult Seminars, the live Children's Seminar is designed to help children in grades 1 - 5 learn about God's heart for the nations in a fun and exciting way. Please note this is a full-fledged seminar with a specialist teaching it. It is NOT a baby-sitting time!
The Kid's Seminar is also a wonderful stand alone event. You could use it for a Vacation Bible School, Children's Retreat, Mission Events, and in conjunction with any other event held by your church or organization.
During their time together, children learn about God’s Glory and missions in a hands-on, action-packed way! They’ll learn new words to familiar songs, while going on treasure hunts, creating crafts, and dreaming about God’s glory in nature! All of this leads them to a greater understanding of God's glory and His heart for the world.
The impact of their time together is reflected immediately in the children's prayers, choices, and desire to tell their friends about Jesus. The children's version runs at the same time as the adult version allowing the “Cat ‘n Dog Theology” seminars to be experienced by the entire family.
Hosting churches do have responsibilities beforehand in gathering materials and in providing helpers for the seminar. (We'll be happy to put you in touch with one of our children's specialists for more information on this.)

Children
In conjunction with an UnveilinGLORY Children's Seminar, it can be very helpful to do a "Teacher's Training session with your children's Sunday School teachers. In this way, a missions focus can permeate everything taught to your children in your normal programs and on a regular basis . An effort is made to personalize the session to whatever curriculum your church may be using.
The session helps teachers have a missions mindset. Principles taught include: The Bible as one story, unreached people groups, and what children can do to make a difference in God's world. The latest in missions educational materials is also presented.
The suggested length of time for a session like this is two and one-half hours. It can be done in the evening or on a Saturday morning or even on a Sunday following church. There is great flexibility in setting up the schedule. It is quite helpful, however, to have it prior to a children's seminar so that those learning the material can watch how the children's teacher presents the material and how the children interact with the material.
